How do you “measure” treatment?
A Menninger research project uses patient assessment surveys of symptoms and to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment of adolescent patients in the Adolescent Assessment & Treatment Program.
Titled The Use of Psychological Assessment Data for Program Evaluation and Research Publication, the project involves 12-17-year-old patients who suffer:
Many adolescent patients come to Menninger with four to seven co-existing diagnoses. Two-thirds of our adolescent patients meet criteria for borderline personality disorder (BPD), which may result in aggression, antisocial behavior and violence.
The surveys are given before, during and after the patient has received Menninger treatment.
